Herman Hall
Known as the HUB, Hermann Hall serves as IIT's student union. The McCormick Auditorium inside hosts movies, concerts and other special events. It also holds a campus coffee house, a bowling alley and the Bog, IIT's campus tavern. Hermann Hall is located in the Bronzeville/Douglas neighborhood at 3241 S. Federal St., Chicago, IL 60616. Parking

CTA
The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) website provides a trip planner which offers several options to obtain transit directions and information about fares and schedules.
CTA has 151 routes that cover not only the city of Chicago, but also 40 surrounding suburbs.
CTA route #29 goes through IIT campus, on State street.
The CTA Red and Green line trains stop on the IIT campus.
Red:
Take the Red Line toward Dan Ryan/95th and exit at the Sox/35th stop. Walk two blocks east to State/35th street.
Green:
Take the Green Line toward Ashland/63rd and exit at the 35th/Bronzeville/IIT stop.
By Car
From the north:
Dan Ryan Expressway east to 31st Street exit, continue south to 33rd Street, turn left (east).
From the south:
Dan Ryan Expressway west to 35th Street exit, continue north to 33rd Street, turn right (east).
From Lake Shore Drive:
Exit at 31st Street, go inland (west) to State Street, turn left (south).
Chicago Airports
O'Hare Airport
O'hare International Airport is easily accessible by Chicago public transportation.
From O'Hare to IIT:
- Go to the underground level of 1st, 2nd or 3rd terminal
- Find CTA Blue line O'hare station entrance
- Take Blue line toward Forest Park or 54/Cermak for about 45 minutes to Clark/Lake
- Exit at Clark/Lake and transfer to CTA Green line toward Ashland/East 63rd (go all the way up from the Blue line)
- Take Green line for about 15 minutes till 35th-Bronzeville-IIT
From IIT to O'Hare:
- Enter CTA Green line station 35th-Bronzeville-IIT
- Take the Green line toward Harlem/Lake to Clark/Lake (15 minutes)
- Transfer to CTA Blue line toward O'hare (go all the way down)
- Take Blue line for 45-50 minutes, exit at O'hare station
Midway Airport
Midway International Airport is easily accessible by Chicago public transportation.
From Midway to IIT:
- Take CTA Orange line towards Loop to Roosevelt station
- Transfer to CTA Green line toward Ashland/East 63rd (opposite platform)
- Take Green line for about 5 minutes till 35th-Bronzeville-IIT
From IIT to Midway:
- Enter CTA Green line station 35th-Bronzeville-IIT
- Take the Green line toward Harlem/Lake to Roosevelt (15 minutes)
- Transfer to CTA Orange line toward Midway (opposite platform)
- Take Orange line to Midway station
